Concussion Guidelines *- Effective July 1, 2011, the Code of Virginia will be amended to include Section 22.1-271.5 directing Virginia
school divisions to develop and distribute guidelines for policies dealing with concussions in student-athletes, and
requiring LCPS to obtain written acknowledgment of information regarding the identification and handling of
suspected concussions in student athletes.
Concussion Policy 8-58 *- The goals of this policy are to ensure that student-athletes who sustain concussions are properly diagnosed, given adequate time to heal, and are comprehensively supported until they are symptom free.

for players at practice and games.
Incident Reporting Form- This is to be completed by the coach and turned into the Safety Officer within 24 hours of any injury or incident affecting players, coaches or umpires.
Lightning and Thunder Policy.- This policy is in effect for ALL practices and games, as well as all other LGLLS related outdoor activities.
Little League Medical Release Form *- This is to be completed by all parents/guardians and maintained by the coach in the event of an injury and the parent/guardian is not immediately available.
